We’re looking for a new Sedex Holdings Ltd (SHL) Member Director – it could be you!

Are you passionate about social and environmental sustainability in supply chains?

Can you offer insights to help companies make supply chains more sustainable?

Do you work for an SHL member business?

We’re looking for experienced professionals to stand as candidates in our 2025 Member Director election.

We particularly encourage applicants from supply chain (Supplier member) businesses, ideally based in Europe, to complement the existing representation on the SHL Board.

What is a Member Director?

As a membership organisation, SHL has an important mission to drive socially and environmentally sustainable practices in global supply chains. 

Member Directors sit on the SHL Board to represent businesses across global supply chains and keep our members’ needs at the centre of SHL. The SHL Board plays a key role in providing strategic input and direction to Sedex Information Exchange Limited (SIEL), which provides the Sedex Platform and other solutions, as a majority shareholder.

A vacancy for a new Member Director has come up for 2025.

Why become a Member Director?

  • Provide insight, guidance and practical direction to help businesses make supply chains more socially and environmentally sustainable.
  • Represent SHL members and be a voice for businesses’ supply chain sustainability needs on the SHL Board of Directors.
  • Gain an international perspective and expand your knowledge of the responsible sourcing industry, while also building experience in corporate governance.
  • Play a crucial role in driving social and environmental sustainability in global supply chains.

How to apply

Before applying, please read the application information pack.

  • Complete and submit the application form on this page. You will need to include and upload some additional things, listed here.
  • Upload a letter from the senior representative of your company (such as the Chief Executive Officer or Managing Director) to agree you can apply and will be allowed time to carry out Board duties if you are elected as a Member Director.
  • Upload a professional photo of yourself, and your company logo.
  • Upload a completed conflict of interest form.
  • Optional: You may also provide a video explaining why you want to become a Board member. See the application information pack for further details.

We recommend any applicants also review the Member Director Election Rules.

If you are shortlisted, we’ll publish your profile and (if applicable) video submission on the Sedex website in May 2025 so our members can view these before voting at the SHL Ltd Annual General Meeting in June 2025.

Key dates

  • 7 April: Application period opens
  • 5 May: Application period closes
  • 19 May (week of): Shortlisted nominees informed that they are shortlisted; non-successful applicants updated
  • 27 May: Nominee shortlist published on the Sedex website, and shared to SHL members as part of the formal notice for the 2025 Annual General Meeting.
  • 24 June: Member Director election held at the 2025 Annual General Meeting.

The Member Director appointment will be announced directly after the SHL 2025 Annual General Meeting.
